Vikings Pro Bowl kicker Blair Walsh sits down with FOX 9's Jim Rich to weigh-in on the NFL regular season which, at long last, is finally upon us.
Walsh was a rookie just 365 days ago, but managed to set an NFL record nailing 10-of-10 kicks from 50-plus yards.
Walsh spoke about former Vikings punter Chris Kluwe who was cut from the Oakland Raiders last week.
"I think his talent is endless," Walsh remarked, wishing him nothing but the best and mentioning he owed much of his past success to Kluwe.
Working with new holder Jeff Locke set the stage for potential setbacks at camp, but Walsh remains confident in this new post-Kluwe era.
Not a diary guy in the past, Walsh says he is now jotting down notes on each kick and is primed and ready for regular season action with the rest of the Purple. Perhaps another season debut victory in OT?
