2 teens killed in Queens car crash

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

Police say two teen boys were killed after a car they were riding in crashed into the cement support pillar of an elevated train station in Queens early Saturday morning.

Authorities say a 19-year-old male was driving a 2009 Toyota Corolla west on the Rockaway Freeway around 3:00 a.m. when the crash happened.

A 15-year-old male passenger in the front seat was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say a 14-year-old male passenger sitting in the rear was taken to Jamaica Hospital where he later was pronounced dead.

Charges are pending against the 19-year-old driver according to police who did not release the names of the victims.
