"All right, full auto," the firing-range instructor tells a 9-year-old girl. She braces the Uzi submachine gun and opens fire at a black-silhouette target. But the recoil wrenches the fully automatic weapon upward, and the instructor is shot in the head and killed.

PHOENIX -

Surveillance video of an armed robbery inside a convenience store has been released and the clerk who was shot in the robbery spoke to FOX 10 about the crime.

The clerk, who didn't want to be identified, was released from the hospital after being shot in the leg. The clerk tells me the force of the gunshot actually broke his femur bone.

The shooter -- still on the loose tonight.

This all happened late Saturday night at the AM/PM station on Indian School Road.

Police say a man with the gun walked into the store earlier in the night and stole some items.

The clerk told me he actually tried to stop the man -- who returned a short time later -- this time with a gun.

Take a look at this surveillance video: The shooter demanded cash and cigarettes -- the clerk complies -- handing over the cash and cigarettes -- and then as he was leaving -- he shoots the clerk at close range right in the leg.

"He shot me, I fell on the floor.  I was begging for my life because I didn't want him to shoot me while I was on the floor because it was already bad enough because he shot me in my left leg and he left like nothing happened," said the clerk.

Police are still looking for the shooter. He is described as a black male, around 25 to 35 years old and about 5' 9" tall.

As for the clerk -- he says he has some healing to do -- and also told me he is a bit weary about returning back to work.
