Thieves steal 125-lb. batteries from Henry Co. school buses

HENRY COUNTY, Ga. -

Henry County authorities say thieves are stealing large-sized, 125-pound batteries mounted on school buses.

Local authorities recently released surveillance video of two of the crooks in action.

Educators say the thieves have stolen nearly 40 batteries; costing the Henry County Schools almost $5,000 to replace. The school system says the thefts are also creating headaches for school employees running into trouble getting students to class.

The Henry County school system says it has more than 300 buses and that thieves have, apparently, targeted 21 of them, so far.

If you have information about the people shown in this surveillance video, please call 911 or contact your local law enforcement.
