DETROIT, Mich. (WJBK) -

A stray bullet comes flying into a Detroit woman's bedroom. She survived, but can't afford to fix the damage to her home.

Watch Taryn Asher's full video report above.

73 year old Arcola Cook was lying in bed Friday night when gun fire erupted outside her home. She was laying on her side in bed when a stray bullet came through her window, hitting her television, then lodging itself in her backside.

Her husband was upstairs and came down to help. Mrs. Cook was rushed to the hospital and is expected to be okay.

They are hoping someone is generous enough to help pay for the repairs to their damaged home.
