Get ready for steamy 90s in the forecast this week -- a hot streak is set to commence on Monday and bring plenty of heat into the weekend.
Much warmer conditions will be the story this week as a bubble of warm air shifts northeastward out of the Rockies and desert southwest bringing with it heat and plenty of humidity. Mid-80s to mid-90s can be expected across the area starting today.
HEED THE HEAT THIS WEEK
A break in the heat will be possible late Wednesday and early Thursday as scattered thunderstorms are possible, some of which could be strong.
Hot temperatures in the 80s and 90s will carry over into the weekend. As always, remember the sunscreen and drink plenty of water as dehydration and heat exhaustion could be a concern especially if you spend much of the day outdoors.
