Shots fired in South St. Paul, 1 arrested

SOUTH ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) -

One person has been arrested after a man told police he was shot at by a group of three men Friday morning in South St. Paul.

Officers were called to Roosevelt Field off 5th Street around 9 a.m. where they met with the victim, who was not injured.

Officers searched the area and eventually identified one suspect, who was in police custody Friday afternoon. Police stressed that the shooting was not a random act and the suspects and victim know each other.

South St. Paul police and the Dakota County sheriff's office are investigating.
