Violent subway robber breaks victims' bones

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

The NYPD is looking for a violent subway robber who has targeted at least four people in Manhattan, leaving several victims with serious injuries.

The attacks have all taken place in the the last few days of July.

In the first incident the victim was approached by the suspect on the southbound "C" train near Saint Nicholas Avenue and West 125 Street in Harlem at about 9:30 p.m. The thug assaulted him and stole items from him. The victim sustained a broken jaw and eye socket.

In the second attack a 57-year-old man was approached on the northbound "C" train in the vicinity of Frederick Douglass Boulevard and West 116 Street in Harlem. The victim was attacked and suffered a punctured lung and broken ribs in the robbery.

On Friday, July 26, just after midnight a 36-year-old man was on the northbound platform of the "C" train in the vicinity of Frederick Douglass Boulevard and West 116 Street in Harlem. He was attacked by the same man, who got away empty handed in that incident.

Finally, on Wednesday at about 4 p.m., a 27-year-old man was approached by the thug on the southbound "A" train in Morningside Heights. The victim was attacked and robbed. The man needed hospitalization for facial injuries.

Tara Anne McDonald, 46, was being evaluated at a hospital Friday night. The attempted kidnapping occurred on 8th Ave. and 17th St. at about 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, police said.
