WATERFORD, Mich. (WJBK) -

Police are looking for Deborah Lynn Simmons. They believe she is the woman caught on video stealing a purse from an elderly shopper. Cameras inside the Waterford Meijer store on Highland Road captured the incident.

Watch the second video to see the surveillance video.

In the video, the suspect eyes a 90-year-old woman who is distracted by some produce, leaving her purse unattended in the shopping cart. When she is sure the woman isn't looking, she walks up, takes hold of the woman's shopping cart and pushes it away.

The cart was found a few aisles away, but $1,200 in cash was missing from the victim's purse, along with her wallet and several credit cards.

Your tips helped Waterford Police identify the suspect as Deborah Lynn Simmons. Investigators said Simmons has a criminal history that dates back to 1985. There is already a warrant out for her arrest for absconding parole.

If you know where to find Simmons, call the Waterford Police Department Detective Bureau at (248) 618-7550.

Fox 2's Randy Wimbley spoke with the victim over the phone. When asked about the woman who robbed her, the 90-year-old replied, "She's evil."

The Waterford Benevolence Fund is donating $1,200 to the victim to replace the stolen cash.
