LONG LAKE, Minn. (KMSP) -

Police are searching for three armed suspects following a reported home invasion and robbery in Long Lake, Minn.

Three black men entered the home of John and Karen Davis around 2 p.m. at 294 Glenmoor Lane on Saturday afternoon, bound them with duct tape and held them at gunpoint, stealing their red 2014 Kia Sorento, Minnesota plate number 723-KVL, both of their wallets and cell phones.

When the couple was able to break free, they called police around 3:40 p.m. Police saw a trail of blood leading from the house but do not believe it came from John or Karen Davis.

John Davis was taken to North Memorial for back and neck injuries. Karen Davis was punched in the nose by one of the intruders but refused treatment. She is currently at home recovering. Police say their injuries are not serious and they are expected to recover.

Police are continuing to investigate.
