We recently aired a Point Of View on term limits. The idea was that in order to end Washington gridlock, we impose term limits on our politicians. We received a tremendous response from our viewers. Most of you, who shared your thoughts, support the idea, and some of you feel it's long overdue. I'd like to share some of your emails.

I'd like to hear your Point of View. Send me an email at POV@fox11.com

Chuck, who lives in Valencia wrote:

"I doubt that the founding fathers of our country intended elected officials to hold office in perpetuity. If the highest office of the land has a two-term limit then so should our senators and our congressmen."

Glenn, who is from Irvine posed this question, about some of the lifer's in office who've been there fifty years and counting:

"Why would someone in their '70s or ‘80s want to continue?…. Lifestyle?…Endless parties?…Celebrity status?...Addiction to perceived power?"

All fair questions.

Shebang from Chatsworth noted:

"The "Washington humbugs who have stayed in their seats so long are out of touch and don't represent the American people."

And Jeff from Diamond Bar said:

"I don't think the framers of the constitution saw this elite group of ‘public servants' becoming public leeches."

Some of you asked how you can help make term limits a reality.

It'll take a constitutional amendment enacted by members of Congress to set term limits.

They did it once before for the office of President.

It's long overdue that they impose term limits for the good of the country.

They should stand up for America, instead of just standing up for themselves.

Thanks for listening.

What do you think? We want to hear from you on this P.O.V. segment. Share your thoughts in the comments section below or email me directly at POV@fox11.com.

Of all the world's religions, Buddhism is one of the most mysterious and most intriguing to many Americans. The books The Dharma Bums, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance and even If You Meet the Buddha on the Road, Kill Him!, are all examples of how Buddhist concepts are part of the American cultural landscape.

Recently, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Rolf M. Treu ruled that teacher tenure statutes -- violate the California state constitution. In the landmark case "Vergara v. California," Judge Treu held that tenure makes it almost impossible to fire incompetent teachers.
