Fred Willard: Singing in a CATbaret

Posted: Updated:

Did you know Fred Willard could sing?  Neither did Steve Edwards and he's known Fred for years.  On Good Day L.A., Fred talks to Steve and Maria Sansone about the upcoming benefit "CATbaret" which will indeed feature the dulcet tones of Fred Willard and a lineup of other stars.

When asked if he's a singer, Fred said, "I do love to sing. Everyone would love to sing. I have difficulty getting the first note."  He also explains why it's so much dangerous to sing on stage than to act.  (Hint:  it has to do with screwing up.)

Fun Facts About Fred Willard:

  • He is known for his roles in the Christopher Guest mockumentary films This is Spinal Tap, Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind, and For Your Consideration.
  • Willard received three Emmy nominations for his recurring role on the TV series Everybody Loves Raymond as Robert Barone's father-in-law, Hank MacDougall.
