MANKATO, Minn. (KMSP) -
The Minnesota Vikings signed all three of the team's first round draft picks Thursday morning, just in time for training camp in Mankato, Minn.
SHARRIF FLOYD: Selected No. 23 overall out of Florida, Floyd recorded 115 tackles and 4.5 sacks during his three seasons with the Gators. He is the highest drafted defensive tackle by the Vikings since Kevin Williams was taken No. 9 overall in 2003.
"This is D-line heaven, and I want to carry the torch" Floyd said.
XAVIER RHODES: Selected No. 25 out of Florida State, the Vikings are hoping Rhodes can fill an immediate void at cornerback with the loss of Antoine Winfield. Rhodes finished the 2012 NCAA season with 7 pass breakups and 3 interceptions. The Vikings haven't drafted a cornerback in the first round since Dewayne Washington in 1994.
CORDARRELLE PATTERSON: The surprise pick of draft night after the Vikings traded back into the first round for a third pick. The speedy wide receiver led the SEC with 158.43 all-purpose yards per game in his only season at Tennessee.
