Orange County, it's a massive area with tons of food options.  If you're looking for the real food secrets of the OC, we've got a few for you.  Starting with Renato's Italian.

Renato's is in a small strip plaza in Westminster.  On the corner of Brookhurst and McFadden, you'd never imagine they're serving up some of the best Italian in the OC.

 "The food is awesome here. Their pasta, they make it handmade daily so its great food," said Raymond Salvatore, a regular at Renato's.

And pasta's not the only thing they're making from scratch.  "The pork we buy the pork we cut it and make sausage, meatballs we buy the beef the meat. We don't buy ground beef ," said owner Renato Longordo, the owner.  Renato is from Calabria, Italy and he's still making traditional Italian dishes from home.

OC residents lucky enough to know about Renato's have been eating up their specialties for more than 30 years.

Then there's the newer craze – crawfish!! There are now dozens of crawfish houses in Orange County, like the kickin crab in Costa Mesa.

 "Oh i love this stuff you just have to be willing to eat messy," said Myrna Malvida who eats at the Kickin' Crab often.

To enjoy this specialty you better be prepared to wait, for hours.  Unless you go to the Kickin' Crab, which usually has little to no wait! But they still have finger licking good food at incredible prices!

"It's a lot of flavor in a bag with a lot of seafood," said Victoria Nguyen, a Supervisor at the restaurant.

Cajun is all the rage in Orange County, but if you're looking to eat southern with a little more style, the newest and most raved about place is Ritter's Steam Kettle Cooking (SKC).

And what's not to like?  Their #1 dish is the pan roast and it's amazing!  Traditional Cajun dishes are  whipped up with lots of garlic, butter and spices at Ritter's using steam kettles.

"Steam comes out of one side and whips around the jacket of the kettle and makes your food cook very evenly," said Chef and part owner Mike Ritter.

Plus the cooking all happens right at the bar – where customers can watch and interact with the chefs!
