MANKATO, Minn. (KMSP) -

The Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota State University-Mankato have agreed to a three-year extension, keeping Vikings training camp in Mankato through 2015.

2015 will be the Vikings' 50th season holding camp in Mankato, which MSU president Richard Davenport called "a Minnesota tradition."

This week, the Vikings will move into new lodging on campus, at the Julia Sears Residence Community that opened in 2008. The team has typically stayed at the Gage Residence Community, which was demolished last month.

The Vikings will report to Mankato on Thursday, with the first practice scheduled for Friday.
