Norcross store gets into excitement of royal birth

Posted: Updated:
NORCROSS, Ga. -

Norcross is a long way from London, but that didn't stop a local shop from getting in on the royal baby excitement on Monday.

The Taste of Britain celebrated the news that Prince William's wife, Kate, gave birth to a healthy 8 pound, 6 ounce boy on Monday.  Blue ribbons and blue balloons marked the momentous occasion.

The Norcross store held a contest for people to guess the baby's sex, name and weight; as of Monday night, the name remained a mystery.

"We now know some of the information, so as soon as we get the name, we will be able to pick the winner," said Rukhsana Aguilera.

It could be some time before the name is known. It took about a week before William's name was revealed back in 1982. When Prince Charles was born in 1948, folks had to wait about a month.
