Minneapolis police note trend of argument-ending gun violence

Posted: Updated:
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -

The Hennepin County medical examiner's office has identified 23-year-old DeShaun Guilmant as the man who was shot and killed in north Minneapolis on Friday evening.

Minneapolis police found his body inside a car with an apparent gunshot wound on 36th Avenue and Emerson Avenue North at approximately 6:19 p.m. He died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.

Police arrested a suspect Friday night. However, Minneapolis Police Department Inspector Mike Kjos says he's seen a growing trend of gun violence as a means of ending an argument this year. Friday's incident followed suit and allegedly began in an argument and ended in fatal gunshot wounds.
