Pedestrian fatally stuck by vehicle in Brooklyn

Police say a 79-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle in Brooklyn Saturday night.

According to authorities, King Fong was attempting to cross westbound on the Bay Parkway near 72nd Street around 9:07 p.m., when she was hit by a Dodge sedan traveling southbound.

EMS took Fong to Lutheran Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead.

Police say the driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and their investigation is ongoing.

    Pro-Palestinian activists marching along the Brooklyn Bridge got an eyeful when a giant flag banner in Palestinian colors was unfurled on the nearby Manhattan Bridge. The flag had the words "Boycott, Divest, Sanction" and was lowered from a part of the bridge near the Manhattan side Wednesday evening. Activists on the Brooklyn Bridge met its appearance with cheers.
