Police are investigating two early morning shootings that occurred in north Minneapolis over the weekend.
FREMONT AND 34TH
A man has died after being shot at roughly 12:30 a.m. on Sunday at Fremont Avenue North and 34th Street. Officers found the man with an apparent gunshot wound after neighbors reported hearing gunfire.
Police say the victim and suspect may have known each other, and the suspect shot the victim during an argument then fled the scene. The victim died in surgery at 6:00 a.m. at North Memorial Hospital.

WASHINGTON AND 26TH
Two women were shot at Washington Avenue North and 26th Avenue North around 2:30 a.m. Saturday while inside a vehicle. One died at Hennepin County Medical Center on Saturday evening while the second woman is in serious condition at HCMC and is expected to survive.
A friend of the women called 911 around 2:00 a.m. Saturday morning and said the friends had been shot and was driving them to HCMC.
Minneapolis police said that four people were inside the car when someone in one vehicle pulled up next to the car with the women inside and opened fire. Two adult women were hit while the two others were unharmed.
