Another Couple May Be Victims Of Wedding Crasher, Police Think

ARDMORE, Pa. -

"It kind of ruined the end of a happy moment for us after our wedding."

Newlyweds Frank and Stacey Havlik are shocked to hear the man in a surveillance video, wanted by Lower Gwynned Police for staking out a wedding reception venue and stealing gifts, may also be responsible for their wedding nightmare.

"The officer we were dealing with called and told us maybe we have some leads, we heard about this other one," recalled Frank Havlik.

The Havlik's got married June 29th in Lancaster. The cards and monetary gifts in a birdcage were stolen from a room where cocktails were being served, separate from the main reception room.

They filed a police report and say it's been a lot of uncomfortable work helping with the investigation.

"For us it was embarrassing because we had to ask our guests how much they gave us, checks and money," says Stacey Havlik.

The Havliks never thought they'd hear anything back after they filed the report.

But Monday morning, they say a detective called them about a man, caught on surveillance video at William Penn Inn in Lower Gwynned moments before another couple's stuff was stolen.

The theft occurred this time from an unlocked car after the bride put the checks and money there.

Frank and Stacey know how violated that couple must feel.

"It's pretty devastating the idea that somebody would come in on this private event that was so meaningful to us and kind of take that away from us," says Stacey.

Lower Gwynned Police are working on an arrest warrant for the guy in this week's incident. They hope he turns himself in.
