WEST LAKELAND TOWNSHIP, Minn. (KMSP) -

The Washington County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help after a West Lakeland Township woman was tied up by two home invaders wearing reflective utility vests on Monday night.

According to investigators, the victim responded to a knock at the door shortly before 8 p.m. and opened it once she saw two men wearing reflective utility vests. Once she did, the two rushed in and bound her hands and feet with zip ties.

After she was tied, the victim saw two more men wearing bandanas over their faces, deputies said. At least one attacker wore gloves and one brandished a black handgun.

The victim told police she was carried or thrown from room to room as the culprits robbed her home, taking a safe, jewelry and coins.

Investigators say it appears as though the robbers pulled their vehicle into the victim's garage during the robbery.

Anyone with information regarding this incident or witnessing suspicious behavior or vehicles is asked to call 651-439-9381. Tips can be made anonymously.
