According to the National Sleep Foundation, 22 percent of individuals deal with insomnia every night.
One of the common complaints that stem from the condition is early morning awakeness. While there are plenty of reasons for this pattern, the three most common are: Anxiety/depression, hormones and age.
Who's most likely to deal with insomnia? Dr. Georgiou says both women and individuals over 60 years of age are among the most common.
