Wettest June Since 1930

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

If the wet soggy forecast seems like a broken record, Philadelphia this month received 10.6 inches of rain. The most rain in June since 1930.

"It's been a real disappointment," says the Bridges.

Today was looking like a wedding day washout for the newly married Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bridges. That was until the sun broke.

"It rained on my on my way out. But you married the man of your dreams and you got a nice day. Got a beautiful day," adds Bridges.

Rain for the last five days straight had runners and bikers stuck inside. Today with the puddles still fresh, they're finally getting in a workout.

"It's been going to the gym a lot, It's not fun at all," says a runner. "Or we've just been running in the rain."

The swollen waters of the Schuylkill river actually means good news for fisherman.

"Catfish Striper, carp," says a fisherman. "When the tide comes up you know it just helps out real good"

And with a record June in the books, the forecast going into July is much the same. Keep your umbrella ready.
