BOSTON ( -- One Fund administrator Kenneth Feinberg has begun divvying up nearly $61 million in donations among the 232 victims of the Boston Marathon bombings who submitted claims.

A total of six victims who suffered a loss of life, received double amputations, or sustained permanent brain injuries will receive $2,195,000. Officials say 14 other victims who had a limb amputated will each be given $1,195,000.

For 69 other victims, Feinberg devised a system for giving out the money based on how many days the victim spent in the hospital. The funding ranged from $125,000 for one to two nights, to $948,300 for 32 or more nights.

Victims in a fourth category will receive $8,000 each. This category consists of 143 people who were treated on an emergency outpatient basis and released without a hospital stay.

More than 260 people were injured in the April 15 bombings near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. A total of 259 people submitted claims seeking funds.

The victims will begin receiving the funds Sunday.
