A motorcyclist was killed when a suspected drunk driver crossed in front of him Thursday night, causing a crash at the intersection of 160th Street and Harwell Avenue in Apple Valley, Minn.
According to Apple Valley police, the 29-year-old Burnsville man was riding his motorcycle west on 160th Street and was making a turn onto Harwell Avenue when a Ford Taurus crossed in front of him.
The motorcyclist died at the scene.
The driver of the car, a 44-year-old Apple Valley woman, was arrested and booked into the Dakota County jail for criminal vehicular homicide, DWI, driving after cancellation and an open bottle violation.
The Minnesota State Patrol is completing a reconstruction of the collision and the investigation remains active.
