Rivers to Stay Swollen the Next Few Days

Posted: Updated:

This is a picture provided by the National Weather Service of the Crow Wing river in Delano… it is starting to encroach on the underside of the bridge along with debris it has picked up along the way.  This is the fullest river in southern and central Minnesota at the moment, but all rivers, creeks, and streams are still rising with many expected to be near or above flood stage through the weekend and even into early next week.  It is a good idea to stay away from these roadways of water because the flow often increases and more water just means a larger hazard for everyone around it.  Below are a couple images from gauges across the area, as well as a colored map from the National Weather Service that shows the current stage of each river at the dotted locations.
