I-20 reopens after five-vehicle crash

Posted: Updated:

All eastbound lanes of Interstate 20 are now back open to traffic after a five-vehicle wreck.  The Georgia Department of Transportation says the crash involved two tractor trailers and three cars.

One of the tractor trailers was carrying about 9,200 lbs. of air conditioner units, and the second tractor trailer hauled about 41,000 lbs. of machine parts.

Authorities closed a stretch of road just before I-285 while the cleanup was underway, but they reopened around 11:45 a.m.
