MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -

The search is on for the suspect who shot two men and a 4-year old boy late Tuesday night on the 3600 block of Penn Avenue N. in Minneapolis.

All three victims were transported to North Memorial Hospital and are listed in stable condition Wednesday morning.

The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. Minneapolis police said one man was shot as he stood on the sidewalk, and the other man and child were shot while sitting inside a parked truck.

"During the investigation on the scene officers learned the victims were sitting in a truck outside an apartment," said Lt. Mike Friestleben. "When a man came up there was some kind of argument, shots were fired, the suspect appeared to run on foot."

After talking to witnesses, Minneapolis police have determined this was not a random act and appears to be an isolated incident. The public is not at risk.

Anyone with information is asked to call Minneapolis police at 612-692-TIPS(8477).
