Minneapolis shooting: Man dead, woman arrested in Jordan neighborhood

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -

Minneapolis police are investigating an early morning murder in the north side's Jordan neighborhood.

Police were called to a home on the 2400 block of Illion Avenue North just after 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, where they found a man dead of an apparent gunshot wound. Police quickly identified a suspect and a woman was taken into custody without incident.

Minneapolis homicide investigators are in the process of interviewing witnesses to determine exactly what led up to the shooting. No other suspects are being sought.

The identity of the victim will be released by the Hennepin County medical examiner.

MONDAY NIGHT SHOOTING

A separate shooting, just blocks away, sent a man to the hospital in critical condition Monday night.

Minneapolis police said the victim was shot near West Broadway and Penn Avenue North around 7:30 p.m.

No suspects have been arrested and police are still investigating.
