One customer affected is Gloria Rudolph who has been without power since between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. and the outages couldn't have come at a worse time. They are celebrating her daughter Chalena's graduation party.
"I've called about five times and the last I heard was that restoration may be Sunday night or Monday morning," said Rudolph.
Preliminary damage reports state that Xcel Energy is in assessment mode and is working to provide with an accurate restoration timeline. There are currently 413 crews including employees, contractors and resources from other utilities. More than 975 linemen will be working 16-hour shifts to help restore service according to Xcel Energy.
