Poll: Gov. Mark Dayton's approval rating jumps to 57%

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -

A Star Tribune Minnesota Poll reports 57 percent of respondents approve of Gov. Mark Dayton's job performance.

That's a 12 percent jump from a few months ago -- in February, only 45 percent of respondents approved.

APPROVAL TIMELINE

May 2011: 54%
Nov. 2011: 52%
Sept. 2012: 53%
Feb. 2013: 45%
June 2013: 57%

ABOUT THE POLL

The poll surveyed 800 Minnesota adults June 11-13. Respondents were reached on both land lines and cell phones. The poll has a margin of sampling error of 3.5 percentage points, plus or minus.
