Postal worker hit, killed by mail truck in Brooklyn Center

BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn. (KMSP) -

A postal worker was struck and killed by a USPS semi Tuesday morning in Brooklyn Center, Minn.

Brooklyn Center police said the mail-hauling semi was backing into the loading dock of the Lee Avenue post office around 7:30 a.m. when it ran over a postal worker who was on foot.

State and federal investigators with OSHA are at the scene. The driver has been cooperative with investigators.

No other information was immediately available.
