The national job outlook for college graduates is flat. Businesses are planning to hire only 2.1 percent more college grads from the class of 2013 than they did from the class of 2012. However, there are still great jobs out there for those with the "right" degree.
There is high demand for registered nurses, engineers, computer science professionals, business management professionals and finance professionals; all careers that pay around $60k or more.
This really speaks to the importance of understanding that a college degree no longer guarantees a good paying job. In addition, students need to research the demand and pay of the career you're pursuing before selecting a major.
