GRANTVILLE, Ga. -

A 2-year-old boy who fell from a second-story window in Grantville is back home and recovering.

After Jackson Barclay fell from his sister's window last week, he told his parents that he forgot to fly.

The family's air conditioning was out and the windows were open when Jackson leaned against a screen to see an airplane fly by. The toddler tumbled out, flipped and hit the driveway. It was about a 15-foot drop.

"The other children saw him fall. They said he did an entire flip and landed on his legs...He has some bruising on the left and femoral neck fracture on the left.  If he had fallen on his check, back, head -- any other way than he did, it would have been a different story to cover," said Joshua Barclay, Jackson's dad.

Jackson was airlifted to an Atlanta hospital  for treatment.

"It was heart wrenching for all of us. We were all so upset.  Everybody in the neighborhood was upset.  And it was even more upsetting and frightening when they called in a helicopter to take him away," Joshua Barclay said.

A Newnan company has stepped up to help to make Jackson's home safer and restore the family's sense of security. Cardinal Gates makes home safety products and on Friday installed a window warden, which is a lock that allows windows to be opened just a few inches, but detaches in case of an emergency.

"We read about in the newspaper and it's right in our backyard. We designed this product about a year ago. And it prevents exactly these kinds of accidents from occurring," said Craig Heiser of Cardinal Gates.

Jackson, who said he is a big fan of Superman, has no plans to try to fly again.
