1 killed after dump truck collides with car in Hall County

HALL COUNTY, Ga. -

One person was killed Wednesday morning when a car and a dump truck collided along Tanner's Mill Road in rural Hall County.

Authorities say a Ford Fusion pulled out in front of the dump truck along Tanner's Mill Road at Highway 60. The truck slammed into the driver's side of the Fusion, causing the truck to overturn and spill its load of asphalt.

The person driving the Ford died. He was identified as 31-year-old Leslie Legg, of Gainesville, Ga.

Investigators said that speed does not appear to be a factor in the crash.

As of noon, the badly damaged Ford had been towed from the side, while the truck remained on its side as investigators pore over the crash site.
