Baby`s life saved by GDC segment, Bela Gandhi, Zondra Hughes on relationships: Chat Room

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

On Tuesday's Chat Room, Sun-Times Splash Editor Susanna Negovan and Good Day Chicago anchor Anna Davlantes discussed a new initiative to house the homeless in vacant or abandoned buildings, an Indiana baby's life saved by Good Day's segment on preeclampsia, a model who crossed her mentor and a rape victim going public.

Good Day Chicago viewer Olivia from Indiana wrote to Anna, and her message was very moving. Olivia was 33 weeks pregnant when she watched Dr. Nicole Williams identify the warning signs of preeclampsia on Good Day.

Olivia subsequently had her blood pressure checked. When she found it was elevated, she called her doctor. The test lead to an emergency C-section, which Olivia said was done just in time. Her baby's heart rate was elevated because the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck.

Olivia's daughter was not going to make it much longer if they hadn't been alerted to a possible problem. She was born just in time.

Olivia said she believes watching the segment saved her baby girl's life. Even though she was born under size and sooner than expected, Olivia said she is making very good progress.

Smart Dating Academy's Bela Gandhi and Six Brown Chicks CEO Zondra Hughes joined the Chat Room to evaluate boyfriends compared to husbands, how to spot good husband qualities, early warning signs in a relationship and ten people everyone should block on Facebook.
