Royal bodyguard risking life for Minnesota charity
by Trish Van Pilsum
MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) -
A former bodyguard for Britain's royal family turned local adventurer has entered the most dangerous phase of his race to raise money and awareness for a Minnesota charity.
Last month we introduced you to Richard Lett. He's sailing across the Atlantic Ocean by himself in an event called The Ostar. He's named his boat Pathways to Children to raise money and awareness for a local group that funds schools in India and Africa and sends local students to do volunteer work there.
Lett is currently leading the race in his class of boats and is on pace to set a race record. But he's doing it by traveling through the treacherous northern Atlantic with its rough seas and icebergs.
