LOGANVILLE, Ga. -

Loganville's city slogan is "Where people matter." Apparently sports matters a lot too, because Loganville continues to churn out some great athletes.

HIGH 5 Sports' Merissa Lynn reports on two Loganville ballplayers that will likely be taken in the first round of this year's Major League Baseball draft. They're adding to a growing list of athletic alumni that are making the city proud.

Oakland Athletics player Brandon Moss and Robert Nkemdiche are two star athletes that hail from the town of less than 11,000 residents

Now Loganville's Clint Frazier and Grayson's Austin Meadows are expected to be added to the list. The two outfielders are probable first-round draft prospects.

Frazier said that Moss, who also attended Loganville High School, has been a mentor.

"He's definitely someone I want to be like in the future because he does hit a lot of home runs and that'd definitely part of my game," Frazier said.

Clint and Austin have played together since middle school. Clint's home run gave his Red Devils the upper hand over Austin's Rams this year. Despite the rivalry, they spent a lot of time getting ready for the draft.

"It's just cool to have each other there. Especially since we're going through the same exact thing," said Meadows.

Fraser said he has accepted his invitation to go to New Jersey for the draft, which is held June 6 – 8. Meadows hasn't decided whether or not to go or stay at home.
