ANOKA, Minn. (KMSP) -

More accusers have surfaced and new charges have been filed against a former Minneapolis police officer charged with trying to lure underage girls into sexual encounters.

According to the Star Tribune, five new felony charges have been filed against 32-year-old Bradley Schnickel, who prosecutors say would use social media to meet and lure underage girls.

Seven new accusers have stepped forward, including one allegation coming from a 16-year-old, bringing the number of possible victims to 20. Previous charges alleged he had sex with a 14-year-old girl and sexual contact with three other girls, ages 13 and 14, he met on Facebook, Skype and Tinychat.

Schnickel's attorney says his client is undergoing psychiatric evaluation. In a hearing this month in Anoka County, prosecutor Paul Young said Schnickel used police equipment to find some of the alleged victims.
