The search for missing Elk River, Minn. toddler Daisy Jo Holland continued Sunday as searchers took to Elk River and Orono Lake near the Wapiti Park campground.
Elk River Police Chief Brad Rolfe said boat teams and divers from several agencies will aid in the search as investigators interview residents of the campground to follow any leads regarding Daisy's disappearance.
The 2-year-old went missing from the Wapiti Park campground Friday night, located at 18746 Troy Street in Elk River.
Daisy, her mother, two other adults and five children were camping adjacent to the Elk River on the extreme northern edge of the campground, where she was last seen playing near a creek around 8 p.m. The creek feeds into the Elk River.
Daisy is described as having shoulder length blonde hair and blue eyes. She is approximately 30 pounds and 2 feet tall, and was last seen wearing black pants and a pink Hello Kitty T-shirt.
Several law enforcement agencies and over 260 volunteers scoured the park for any signs of the missing toddler on Saturday, but they found no sign of her. The search was called off for the night at 9:30 p.m. Police are keeping multiple explanations open regarding her disappearance, including foul play.
