Bronx Zoo Dinosaur Safari

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

The Bronx Zoo has unveiled its exhibit of animatronics. Dinosaur Safari is something different from the zoo, which is better known for its exhibits of living animals.

The ride features more than 20 life-like dinosaur models.

Guests ride along on a safari truck. There are plenty of great photo opportunities and lots of educational tidbits.

Plus it's not just the dinosaurs that are prehistoric, but the plants too. Most were specially planted to give the exhibit an authentic feel.

The dinos are pretty true to size. To see T-Rex and all of his friends, you can do so as part of the total experience package, which costs about $33 a ticket. The exhibit opens Saturday, May 25, and runs through September 8.

More than half the population of New York City rides public transportation to work. No other metropolis in this country even approaches that percentage or the MTA's total number of riders. For that reason, New York likely ranks as the most energy-efficient city in the nation. But what would it take to make the city even more energy-efficient or even self-sufficient?
