Home Renovation Helps Philadelphia Family Of Veterans

Posted: Updated:

A small street in the city's Fern Rock section is closed off to traffic - for a good reason!

Volunteers from Rebuilding Together Philadelphia and the Sears Heroes At Home program have gathered at the Reed family home to renovate their house from the inside to the outside.

This amazing program is in its sixth year. Its purpose is to improve the lives of America's military families by renovating their homes.

Curtis Reed, a U.S. Air Force veteran, and his son, Army veteran Robert Reed, have served this country proud and now, their house is getting some much-needed 'TLC.'

FOX 29's Steve Keeley spoke to the guests of honor on Good Day. This family has lived in the home for 40 years and could not be more thrilled!
