The Minnesota Timberwolves are hoping All-Star forward Kevin Love can bring them luck at this year's NBA Draft Lottery.
If this past season was any sign, it looks like they picked the wrong guy.
Love broke his right hand twice this year – once by doing knuckle pushups just before the start of the season, and again during a January game. Injuries limited Love to just 18 games in 2012-13.
But the NBA Draft is all about the future.
"It's an honor to represent the Wolves at this year's Draft Lottery," Love said in a team statement. "With two first-round picks, we are in a good position to add to our current roster. Hopefully I can bring us some luck."
The Timberwolves have a 1.7 percent chance of getting the first overall draft pick and are currently slotted No. 9 overall.
The 2013 NBA Draft will be held on June 27, 2013 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
