Police detonated a suspicious vest that was among items that a Clifton, New Jersey pawn shop purchased from a storage locker.

The vest which resembled a bomb is believed to be a movie prop.

The explosion rocked a portion of downtown Clifton early Friday.

The owner of New 4 You pawn shop on Lakeview Avenue was reportedly going through the items when he made the discovery.

The owner's wife described the device as a black vest with wires, switches and electronics.

A four-block area was evacuated Thursday night as bomb squad members inspected and destroyed the device.

No injuries were reported.

Clifton police say they'll have more information later in the day.
