EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (KMSP) -

Eden Prairie police reported a group of people found tissues with suspected blood on the surface near Scenic Heights Road on Sunday morning.

After investigating the find, police confirmed the source of blood and determined it was not related to the disappearance of 24-year-old Mandy Matula.

Police temporarily closed the area near Eden Prairie Road that includes a portion of Scenic Heights Road between Red Oak Drive and Village Woods Drive to investigate, but the area has since reopened.

Matula has been missing since early Thursday. Her estranged boyfriend, 24-year-old David Marshall Roe, of Victoria, Minn., was about to be questioned when police say he shot himself in the city center parking lot.

Police are asking anyone with information to call them at 952-949-6200.
