Kira Trevino has been missing for ten weeks, and her mother says every drive home from the Twin Cities without closure is "heart-wrenching."
Trevino, a central Wisconsin native, was last seen alive Feb. 21 and is presumed dead after investigators found evidence of a bloody crime scene at her St. Paul home. Her husband, Jeffery Trevino, is charged with second-degree murder.
Friday, as Trevino's parents renewed their plea for help, the St Paul Police Foundation offered up to $5,000 for information leading to the discovery of Kira's remains.
Marci Steger said her biggest disappointment last spring was when her flowers didn't come in. This year, she's still waiting for her daughter to come home.
Anyone with information is urged to call St. Paul police at 651-560-3277.
