A semi driver was killed in a crash involving two semis on eastbound Interstate 94 near Menomonie, Wis. overnight.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, the crash happened at 12:55 a.m. Thursday in Dunn County.
WisDOT is advising people to stay off the roads if possible Thursday as plows have had trouble keeping up with the heavy May snowfall. Trees and branches have fallen on some highways, adding to dangerous driving conditions.
The Wisconsin State Patrol has responded to 40 to 50 runs-offs and crashes on I-94 from Eau Claire to Hudson, including the deadly crash in Menomonie.
