Buffalo Wild Wings is launching its own in-house beer, brewed by Red Hook, and changing the way it prices its wings.
Starting in the third quarter, Buffalo Wild Wings will sell wings by weight instead of the number of pieces. The change allows restaurants to serve a consistent portion as the size of wings fluctuates.
The new beer, called Game Changer, is described as "a premium craft beer that is designed to go perfectly with our flavorful wings while watching a game."
Buffalo Wild Wings CEO Sally Smith said the beer will cost somewhere between the price of a domestic draft beer and an import, with similar profit margins as a domestic draft.
