    According to NeighborhoodScout.com, a person living in these neighborhoods has worse than a one in ten chance of being robbed at gunpoint, beaten senseless, raped or murdered.  LeDuff reports from the worst neighborhood.

DETROIT (WJBK) -

The Motor City is home to the 3 most dangerous neighborhoods in the country, and four out of the top seven, according to a new study published by Neighborhood Scout.

The real estate research web site looked at the number of violent crimes per 1,000 residents in cities of 25,000 or more. Violent crimes include murder, rape, armed robbery and aggravated assault.

Here's a look at Detroit's most dangerous neighborhoods:

No. 7: Wyoming St. / Orangelawn St.
Violent crime rate (per 1,000): 90.82
Chances of becoming a victim here (in one year): 1 in 11

No. 3: Gratiot Ave. / Rosemary
Violent crime rate (per 1,000): 123.93
Chances of becoming a victim here (in one year): 1 in 8

No. 2: Mack Ave. / Helen St.

Violent crime rate (per 1,000): 145.29
Chances of becoming a victim here (in one year): 1 in 7

No. 1: W. Chicago \ Livernois Ave.
Violent crime rate (per 1,000): 149.48
Chances of becoming a victim here (in one year): 1 in 7
