Lake Havasu man accused of sexual conduct with minors

LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. -

An 18-year-old Lake Havasu City man has been charged with multiple counts of sexual assault and sexual conduct with a minor.

Tyler Schoonover was arrested on April 11, 2013, after an 8-month investigation which began when police received information regarding alleged sexual conduct.

Schoonover was accused of having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl. Over the course of the investigation, detectives determined there were at least four additional victims.

The females were between 13 and 14 years of age and Schoonover was 17, according to a police report.

He was charged with 4 counts of sexual conduct with a minor and 1 count of sexual assault and is being held on $100,000 bond.

Back in April, when detectives served a search warrant on Schoonover's home, they discovered 61 pot plants in various stages of their growth cycle in a spare bedroom and the garage. He and his father were arrested.

Craig Schoonover was charged with production of marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Tyler was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
